we have ordered from kins several times and always enjoy the food, portions are reasonably large and the service has been consistantly good. we love the food and the first time I tried their chicken and black bean is great. There is nothing on their menu, that I have tried, that I would hesitate to order again.

We went for New Years 2 of us were sick we ate the same dinner. The food was cold, could not have lamb what we went for was to be on the special menu they had none. Reduction over the meat was to hide bad meat. Service was slow and very poor. I would not give a score of 1 but it make you I would give the -10's

I live a little ways across from Kins I have been there 5 times. The food is good have no complaints but the guy that takes the order comes of a little to strong. O,o

I was born and raised in a very harsh area of Calgary, and Kin's friendly service came off to me as a bit strong. After I recieved my order, on my promenade back to my place of residence I found myself contemplating Kin's sexual preferences. Later, I realized that I was simply full of myself and Kin was indeed a heterosexual man. However, In the future I would suggest to act slightly less friendly and perhaps more normal. The food was not too bad, I enjoyed the shrimp, however my ginger beef lacked the delicious ginger sauce that in my experience, ginger beef is smeared in. All in all, I would rate Kin's Chinese Food Restaurant a 6 out of 10.

Okay, love Kin's Chinese food, I would eat here and only here for ALL ETERNITY for the single and only fact that monsieur Kins is like two minutes from my house and seemingly are only there to serve my every whim. They have many other awesome qualities for example they are easy to find in a phone book and the guy who takes your orders sounds really cool on the phone, almost like everything you tell him fills him with joy and an ecstasy for life itself. on a somewhat unrelated, pointless and outofplace point(really don't know why i would even mention) they have really good food to.

Always excellent food, large portions, good service, and fast delivery. After trying Kin's we haven't gone anywhere else for takeout/delivery Chinese food.

Terrible food. Dry noodles are dry. And my fortune cookie didn't even have a fortune. What kind of service is this.

Establishment's Comments on this review

I have to admit that after receiving several positive reviews, I was expecting to receive a negative review some time. But as much as I like it when our customers express themselves and comment on our product, I have to say that is comment does not provide constructive criticism and is mostly irrelevant content.

Terrible Food gives absolutely no indication of what could be/needed to be improved upon or what problem areas were. (I.E. Was it a specific dish that was not up to the customers standards? Was there a sauce that wasn't to the customers liking? Was the food not hot enough? Did the customer not care for certain ingredients in a dish? Did the customer think the food was not fresh enough? )

Dry Noodles are dry is simply a redundant comment. Of course dry noodles are dry! What's next? Iced tea was cold.

And my fortune cookie didn't even have a fortune. is a fairly irrelevant area of complaint. Because we do not make this product ourselves, we do not have control over the distribution of fortunes. Also, it is a fairly minor issue since it is not our main product to begin with. That is like writing a review about a steak dinner and complaining about the after dinner mints (I.E. The food was bad. The fries were dry. And the after dinner mints were white. That sucks. Everyone knows that those are the cheap ones. The best after dinner mints are red!).

And finally What kind of service is this. gives absolutely no indication of what could be/needed to improved or what problem areas were (I.E. Was it the way the customer was greeted that was unsatisfactory? Did the food take too long to prepare? Did the customer not appreciate having to wait in line for service? Did the customer feel the debit transaction took too long to complete on the terminal?).

All in all, a very useless review that seems to be one person simply being very negative with no actual feedback that I do not appreciate having on the website.

Kin's Chinese in Bowness is Excellent. Beginning with ordering to picking it up and then devouring it. We recomend the Ginger Chicken with the Beef & Satay Sauce Fried Noodle.. But have tried most of the Menu.. This place beats all other Chinese Restaurants in Calgary.
